An October field trip
Since Darren is off of school for fall break we decided to check out the newly-opened SF Academy of Sciences. Talk about incredible. The architecture is gorgeous and everything is so interactive. The amazon rainforest was so fun to walk through. You start at ground level and you continue up circular ramps to get a view from the canopy where butterflies and birds flutter around you.
Below the rainforest you can get a fish's view of alligators, sharks and other sea creatures in the 100,000 gallon aquarium tank. The albino alligator was definitely a hit with the boys. They were fascinated with it.
Overall, it was a great experience but it definitely left us all WIPED OUT at the end of the day.
